Tucker's Tavern Burger

Beach Haven offers plenty of options for dining out during your vacation down the shore. I wanted to share some of our favorites. With 3 kids, casual dining and takeout accounts for a big part of our vacation meals, but you can find just about everything you want right here in Beach Haven.

If you want the BEST sandwich you can get, gourmet sides and salads, and delicious desserts, look no further than Pearl Street Market. They have the freshest, most delicious sandwiches and prepared foods you can find. They are a little more expensive than your typical sandwich but are worth the price. They also have a great selection of fresh seafood if you are a grill master who likes to do it yourself. If a cheesesteak, fries and a milkshake is more your speed, a trip to Barry’s Do Me A Flavor will satisfy you for sure. When pizza calls, Bay Village Pizza answers. They have the best pizza on the island and their fries are NOT to be missed. If you are staying in Beach Haven, it is practically a requirement to hit The Chicken or The Egg. Great breakfasts, lunches or dinners in a casual friendly environment. There is often a line outside, but only because it is worth the wait.

If you are looking for some outdoor dining, check out the Sand Bar at the Engleside Inn or the Sea Shell‘s outdoor restaurant. Both sit just behind the dunes in the center of town, and both offer a casual dining and drinking experience where kids are welcome. Some other kid-friendly choices are Buckalews and Tuckers, both with extensive choices and kids menus for the little ones.

When you are staying on an island on the coast, seafood is probably on your radar. If you prefer your Tuna served sushi style, The Restaurant at The Engleside Inn has the best sushi on the island. If cooked seafood is more your style, there are a couple of places you have to try. The Black Whale is a small restaurant and bar but they offer great seafood choices. The same owners recently opened Parker’s Garage. It is definitely the best food on the island. I recommend getting a bunch of starters and small plates to share. And don’t forget to bring a couple of bottles of wine, some beer or other adult beverages as Parker’s is a BYOB.

Enjoy!
